Nothing quells the appetite like water lots and lots of water. Try to drink 8 glasses (64 ounces) a day.
Start with two quart-bottles in the morning and carry one with you to work and save the other for after work. Or divvy it up into eight 8-ounce bottles or four 16-ounce (1 pint) bottles to carry throughout the day.
Here's a cool tip: freeze a bottle or two of water the night before and it will last all day, even in a hot car.

Culver City, CA February 06, 2006 Brotman Medical Center, Inc. ("Brotman"), announced today that it has been named a recipient of the 2006 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence, based on a study issued by HealthGrades, the nation's leading independent healthcare ratings company. In addition to Brotman Medical Center, other Los Angeles Area hospitals receiving this award include Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach, and St. Johns Hospital Health Center in Santa Monica.
Hospitals in receipt of the Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence were rated in the top 5% in the nation in terms of mortality and complication rates for 26 procedures and diagnoses. Patients attending a hospital receiving this award are, on average, 22.0% less likely to face mortality, and 10.8% less likely to suffer from a major complication.
Brotman Medical Center also ranked among the top five percent in the nation for overall gastrointestinal care and among the top ten percent in the nation for overall pulmonary services.
"Quality of care is our top priority at Brotman Medical Center. Providing our patients and families with the best care possible is inherent in our mission, vision, and values," said Maurine Cate. "Being named as a top hospital in one of the largest healthcare studies in America validates all that we have worked so hard to achieve."
Each year, HealthGrades independently analyzes the clinical quality performance of all nonfederal hospitals across the country in 26 procedures and diagnoses, ranging from bypass surgery to the treatment of heart attacks. Only 277 U.S. hospitals qualified for this prestigious award in 2006.
In the Distinguished Hospital Study, which looks at tens of millions of hospitalization records over the years 2002, 2003 and 2004, HealthGrades estimates that if all patients went to Distinguished Hospitals, 152,966 lives could have been saved and 21,896 post-operative complications could have been avoided
"We have an extremely skillful and dedicated team of clinicians and employees," added Cate. "It is because of their hard work that our patients and their families receive quality healthcare that is among the best in the nation."
