Nothing quells the appetite like water lots and lots of water. Try to drink 8 glasses (64 ounces) a day.
Start with two quart-bottles in the morning and carry one with you to work and save the other for after work. Or divvy it up into eight 8-ounce bottles or four 16-ounce (1 pint) bottles to carry throughout the day.
Here's a cool tip: freeze a bottle or two of water the night before and it will last all day, even in a hot car.

| WHAT: | Brotman Medical Center in Culver City will administer more than 300 flu shots to community residents from the comfort and convenience of their own cars Tuesday, November 28, 2006. The flu-thru clinic is a quick, easy, and affordable way to protect oneself for the coming cold and flu season when viruses can be particularly dangerous to the elderly and those with weakened immune systems. Flu shots are $15. Three sessions in the morning, afternoon and evening make it easy for busy professionals, harried parents and commuters to swing by for a shot. And to save them even more time in the morning, Brotman is brewing hot delicious Starbucks coffee for purchase at time of inoculation. All this with out ever stepping a foot outside the car. The flu-thru is being offered curbside in front of Brotman Medical Center's main entrance on Delmas Terrace. Walk-ins will be received during the noon hour in the lobby. Visit www.brotmanmedicalcenter.com and click on the flu-thru link to download and print a flu shot form to be filled out in advance. Brotman Medical Center is a recipient of the 2006 Healthgrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Overall Clinical Excellencey. |
